A US company has body armor out of an alloy that will stop a 50 cal. I've seen how it works. Really cool stuff. Dick Cheney owned ceramic armor so it was blocked. Looks like they're getting the company going again though (not this Russian co). Hope it gets to our troops eventually.

If you took a .50 cal bullet to the chest, even if the body armour stopped the penetration, your bones would shatter and your organs rupture; instant death!
