I am not weighing in on FE I just wanted to point out that this is what is called linear perspective in art. All lines eventually converge into a vanishing point when looking into the distance.It gets a little confusing when you are looking at opposite ends of such vast distance. Basically all the lines are straight the entire time it is an optical illusion.
