Here in TN we have 100's of 1000's of ppl that live an hour or more from the work place in cities like Nashville that require a rather long morning drive some up to 2 hours one way per day.
How damn long are they even going to be able to afford to GO to work with Gas getting as high as 9$ per gallon is blue states and 5$ per gallon here?

When I lived in California in the early 90s I remember laughing with my NZ family that I could fill up my diesel VW Rabbit for US$9 and drive for 300+ miles around town.
