Just finished this book again. Must read if you haven't. I know most of you know the story, but at the end of 1776 as far as everyone was concerned the rebels (Patriots) had lost. The British were partying in NYC and it was Christmas. Washington and about 3000 men, many WITHOUT SHOES and proper clothing crossed the Delaware and attacked the German elite mercenaries camped at Trenton at night IN THE MIDDLE OF A FUCKING NOR'EASTER. Two boys died just freezing to death. This is after months of a losing campaign where they were slandered and dying of smallpox and starving and retreating.
They won the battle and turned the tide. Patriots out in the storm without much but belief in something bigger and each other.
Remember those who put it all on the line.
Thank you.
