In 1913 Hallmark Cards produced their first Valentine’s card, representing the commercialization of V-Day.
Hallmark denies its involvement in the creation of modern V-Day, but old school marketers knew the REAL STORY & the marketing campaign was a brilliant scheme to sell inventory en mass. Valentine’s Day is a holiday that forces people to buy flowers, cards, perfume, jewelry & chocolates for their significant others.
