Yet to be confronted for not wearing a mask and I live in Karen's state of NY.
Secretly, I hope someone will say something
I would guess 95% still wear a mask when in public

My son and I went to his first Pinewood derby race, we were the only entrants representing his pack. The race was being held in a Lutheran Church that of course "mandated" masks. I refused the masks, had quite the verbal falling out with the charter leader or whatever the hell he called himself. He threatened to call the police to have us removed. We hand his car over for the race as we walk out of the church, two parents follow us out telling me they understand, they support Trump blah, blah, blah...... My son's in tears, wants to race his car. Unfortunately I gave in. it broke my heart. I felt like an idiot masked up but we did win first place overall, and some of the parents shook my hand, said they were with me......yet noone removed their masks or stood up when I did.

Micheal you 100% did the right thing. You stood in your principles . Your son will never forget that his Dad's beliefs still did not take something important away from him. These moments are not easy. My daughter was so embarrassed when I refused to wear a mask to the last school board meeting. On 12/17 I got a call from the school nurse she was sneezing a lot (allregies) and I had to come pick her up unless they could give her a PCR test. Now they KNOW I will not allow that so I had to go pick her up. When I got there I made a stink, say it was all BS sending my daughter home for NO reason except their paranoia and would be home schooling her from now on. She loves school and after much though over Christmas I could see that school's best for her, not at home, even with a face diaper every day. I commend you as a parent. This stuff is very hard and sometimes emotions take away clear thinking. Rcovering is the key. God Bless my fren

My daughter is 13, I gave her the option to homeschool. She chose to go, I understand we all remember that time in our lives. God Bless!
