I was a healthcare professional for over 40 years, a cardiovascular specialist for last 20 in pharma.I saw the change in the doctors, and it became increasingly hard to turn the other cheek.There were a handful of doctors I would ever send a family member to out of the thousands and thousands of docs I called on! Just a handful! Everything was about money, not about patients or saving lives. Doctors today have a very flippant opinion of life and are not concerned about whether patients live or die, lives are disposable, especially the elderly. Doctors keep track of medications RX’d because of the monthly bonus payout, a certain number of generics per month, brand drugs, those in the same class, etc. all have to add up monthly to their specific percentages to be eligible for the payout. I retired early, the evil was so palpable. Today, watching those brave and courageous docs, nurses, attorneys and more gave me hope again! I balled like a baby!
