Where I come from, every male is circumcised. And we are Gentiles.

Jan, I see it the way you do and to be frank, this reaction to your comment is bizarre in that it is extreme...extreme to suggest you are a troll. Unreasonable to call this commandment from God a mutilation. All the men in my family were circumcized incl my sons. That is just normal in most church-going families. I think less common these days but I believe still the dominant choice.
I allowed it because it IS a covenant as I read it, and although I wished it was not a commandment, it is FAR FAR different than female 'circumcision'. My goodness who are these people here?

In case you missed it, I found out from a Christian doctor (I'm a Jewish Gentile) that on the 8th day, there is a surge of Vitamin K that occurs in baby boys. God commanded that the boys be circumcised on the 8th day. He is the one who causes the surge because it helps the healing occur much faster!

My dad, my brothers, my sons, my boyfriends (except one - ugh) were all circumcised. As far as I know, my friends' brothers and dads were circumcised. It's just what was done and deemed not only normal but necessary - and they were all Gentiles!

From where I come from (Michigan) it's weird NOT to be circumcised.

Infiltration is part of it but I think the biggest problem is that they just aren't THINKING. They are seeing a demon behind every tree! Maybe they're bored so they create new conspiracies and run with them. I don't know. All I know is they get REALLY angry with me when I try to show them they're off track. These two just blocked me - I guess they couldn't take the truth! At least I document my claims and they are rejecting the bible! I reject most of the "New Testament" but there is no part of the Tanakh I reject. The synoptic gospels are cool, James, and Revelation. Anyway - this guy was the one who started with the bible, saying he was made in God's image. And the other one (girl?) echoed him. They walked right into my bible lesson, sat down and then got mad when I started teaching them from the bible!

i do believe the gospels and Jesus as the Christ. but most of the New Testament where Jesus isn't quoted, is authored by Paul and i think Paul was a false apostle.
I was raised a Christian and still am but my idea of Christianity is very different now.
I believe my ancestry which is German was Jewish or part Jewish but that goes a ways back, i know nothing of it.

Circumcision was commanded by God.
Female genital mutilation was not. It is not proscribed anywhere in the Bible. That comes from some kind of tribal shamanism or some other man-made religion.
You do realize that God told His people throughout the Bible which ways He wanted to be worshipped right? Of all the many man-made religions, the religion instituted by God - or i guess you could call it a relationship- was not one of those.
I get the feeling you may be defensive because you see this as a gender bias.
Just know, childbirth is where we get our fair share of suffering not to mention painful PMS.
