Ashwagandha Improves Hypothyroidism
By Dr. Russell Blaylock, M.D.
The herb ashwagandha (Withania somnifera), also called Indian ginseng, has a number of useful properties, including improving memory and obsessive-compulsive disorder, preventing neurodegeneration, and benefiting immunity.

It also has anticancer properties. In a double-blind, placebo-controlled study involving 50 people with subclinical hypothyroidism (mild hypothyroidism that is not clinically recognized), researchers found that ashwagandha improved objective measures of thyroid function significantly in all the subjects.

Ascorbic acid and vitamin C are not stored by the body. When you ingest the supplement, the portion of the substance that's not used by the body is expelled through your urine. Vitamin C is essential for the growth and repair of soft tissue. It is also a natural antioxidant, eliminating free radical cells from your body, according to the University of Maryland Medical Center. Free radical cells promote disease and mutation. Vitamin C naturally occurs in citrus fruits and leafy green vegetables. If you develop adverse reactions after taking the supplement, discontinue use and call your doctor.

It could be the "type" you're buying. sadly, most are synthetic & body can't absorb anyway. when you read a label of vit c bottle....there should not be a ton of other ingredients. & unfortunately, you get what you pay for, so the cheaper, the more additives.

put in "search bar" vitamin c types or variations or differences & you'll quickly learn there are diff types in capsule forms. put in search bar veggirs with high vit c ...brocoli, brussel sprouts, sweet & white potato, all winter squash, tomatoes, etc...all high in vit c & if truly allergic you would not be able to eat any of these . doctors only follow what the fake numbers on tests tell them & yes they are mostly fake.

So again, it may not be vit c you are allergic too, but an additive. even if you had a doctor test, i would still try variations of REAL vit c ...

Can you drink OJ, eat lemon juice, cherry juice, grapefruit, limes kiwi, mango, pineapple, even apples? Again, not allergic if you can consume.

For some people, this clears up the problem permanently, but other people may experience a relapse. Both drugs can cause serious liver damage, sometimes leading to death. Because propylthiouracil has caused far more cases of liver damage, it generally should be used only when you can't tolerate methimazole.

A small number of people who are allergic to these drugs may develop skin rashes, hives, fever or joint pain. They also can make you more susceptible to infection.

Beta blockers. Although these drugs are usually used to treat high blood pressure and don't affect thyroid levels, they can ease symptoms of hyperthyroidism, such as a tremor, rapid heart rate and palpitations. For that reason, your doctor may prescribe them to help you feel better until your thyroid levels are closer to normal.

You must identify the souce of stress in your life and eradicate it. At that point your graves disease will start to dissipate / disappear. Research narcissism. You will have decisions to make.
