Yes, I definitely avoid arguments! I have family who disagree with me so I keep it all "surface talk." It's a shame and it divides us, but I want to keep our relationships intact.

I'm sorry you are experiencing this, I myself am doing the same thing with both of my parents. They refer to me as their rebel daughter! ugh
