This statement is misleading. As of Oct 13, Arkansas has only passed legislation against mandates for state employee's. Private employers can still mandate vaccines, with a couple of exceptions, medical reasons, valid religious reasons and pregnant or nursing mothers. There is a bill on the governors desk that would allow employees to opt out and do weekly testing instead, or prove they have antibodies, but the governor is against the bill. He has 5 days to veto or it becomes law, still waiting to see what he does. The Arkansas Congress doesn't want to interfere with federal funding or make private employers have to choose between being subjected to federal fines or breaking state laws so they did not advance a bill banning the vaccine mandate for private business.
