I remember reading about some nanotech that would basically be like starfish with blunt edges that when subjected to body heat would curl and grab onto tissue to impart a vaccine. Obviously not what is pictured, but nonetheless, scary tech to think that small metallic shapes would have a drug payload to distribute as it warmed up and curled to grab and inject a payload!
