I don't know any more than what others have posted here... Basically, the hospital she was in prevented her from leaving. She had stabilized yesterday but then grew worse. She had a private ambulance and medical advocate (that they banned from the building) waiting outside to take her where she could be helped. She was supposed to have been given a feeding tube, but they delayed that, which meant she wasn't getting the nutrients her body needed to get better. Both sides called the police. That officer sided with the hospital and told them they'd have to wait until the hospital administrator got there in the morning, even though he was told it was a matter of life and death. This was a tragedy that never should have happened. And it usually always has to do with money, with the hospital keeping someone because of the money via insurance ... or, as others have reported, because of money from when someone dies of the virus.

I am so furious. Thanks for the update. I tried calling the hospital's main number tonight twice and the phone didn't even work. The other day they put me into a full messaging service. What kind of hospital doesn't even have operable phones?! Very sad.

Same here. Called twice. First one was disconnected after being on hold. The second one went through, I heard someone pick up. But after I said hello, they hung up on me.😠
