London - Scotland Yard launched a crackdown on domestic violence, child sex abuse, stalking, sexual exploitation and human trafficking to end the torment for victims suffering in silence. Ninety officers on the predatory offender unit traced wanted individuals from every borough in the capital.
Some had moved hundreds of miles away in an effort to escape. Since November, 2,150 offenders have been detained, including 1,312 for domestic abuse, 378 for sex offences and 115 for abusing children.
Additionally, police obtained 154 court banning orders and executed 175 search warrants.
