The City of Evanston in very 'progressive' Crook County IL already found a way to pay them off.

"The resolution committed the first ten million dollars ($10,000,000.00) of the City’s Municipal Cannabis Retailers’ Occupation Tax (3% on gross sales of cannabis) to fund local reparations for housing and economic development programs for Black Evanston residents."

A black radio host said on air that he had smoked pot before, but was so sick of walking in Chicago's black neighborhoods because the smell is so overwhelming - everywhere.

I feel like we're living through Godfather III.

I'm well aware that a lot of people think pot is harmless. I don't agree.

Everyone talks about the 'war on drugs', but what about the war on cigarettes? It's a bad habit/addiction, but the war continues to this day around the world... https://ash.org/about/

So smoking a cigarette is bad, but recreational pot is good? Something stinks & it's not the cigarettes. Anyone who was related to a Vietnam Veteran knows that their C-rations (not MREs) came with cigarettes. It calmed them down. Even stupid wikipedia won't mention it. They only say that 10 to 20 percent of our guys were addicted to drugs. Even if that were true, then 80 to 90 percent weren't.

Even the crappy VA Hospital that I was very familiar with for over 15 yrs. made the older veterans sit 25 feet from the entrance outside to smoke & talk. They weren't drunk or high, they made sense.

I wonder why they stopped the Indian Tribes from selling tax-free cigarettes online. The PACT Act - July 2010. 1/8
