This is caused from the Fe++ ( Iron) complex with Luciferase the enzyme that is responsible for bioluminesinic. If expose to radio frequencies which I believe to be just below microwave wavelenght and frequency.
Using the formula, velocity = frequency x wavelength and knowing that the velocity of an electromagnetic wave is about 3.0 × 108 m/s, gives a wavelength of about 12 cm.

That second one seems off. His body stayed stiff enough when they put him on the gurney thing, but then you see his arms fold over his chest when they pick it up.
