How did my apointment go at the VA today?
I walk in and the lady asking the mandatory “have you been exposed to anyone with covid” questions tried to hand me a mask.
I declined.
She said I wasn’t allowed to enter the building without a mask.
She called management.
Management came and freaked out when I was “in their building without a mask”
They escorted me outside.
They said I had to wear something or I couldn’t be seen for my appointment.
Me: “they are dangerous and ineffective”.
Them: “well it’s policy”
Them: “We can get you a face shield, would you like a face shield?”
Me: “I don’t want anything”.
Well then we can’t let you in. “Policy”

Me: “It’s 11:03 and my apt was at 11, I’ll take the face shield 🙄”
Them: “just letting you know it will take longer to be seen because we have to put you in a quarantine room and send your provider to you in PPE gear”
I’m “escorted” as if I’m a criminal to a back room.. where I wait for FOURTY-FIVE minutes. Until the light in the room shut off.
I walk out into the hallway and ask if anyone is aware I’m back here. No one had any idea.
A kind doctor takes over and checks his computer and finds out the doctor that was supposed to see me CANCELED my apt because I was labeled in the system as a “mask refusal”
