I know this sounds crazy but in war you MUST at times sacrifice lives to save others. He knew that we would be able to see past the lies and start protesting against it. If we didn't than it is very possible that it would have been mandatory. He was buying time. You are absolutely right about the Abraham Accords and I would suggest you dive deep into those, there are bigger questions you will find hidden there. As for Kushner understand that no one is without a handler. JFK's was Jackie, Regan's was Nancy and so on.
