People talk about Dracula and Vlad the Impaler as one and the same person. They couldn’t be farther from the truth. Bram Stoker’s source of inspiration was not Vlad, it was a Hungarian countesses named Elizabeth Bathory who also lived in Transylvania. She was part of the Cabal like her entire inbred family. I don’t think they had a name for adrenochrome in the 1500’s but if you read about her you’ll see the connections.
