Looks like a good dog ya got there. My daughter wanted to rescue and give a home to one particular rescue dog, but a certain family had priority. The family eventually decided to adopt the dog. Daughter was not happy with me for not making this happen for her. A few weeks down the road, a dog arrived where she was volunteering. Instant attraction. Member of the family now, and could not have asked for a better dog.

reminf her of that when she doesnt get the boy.

We adopted a dog when my son was 4. We had to return him within a week. When I took him to the vet for a check up, he had restraint aggression. As soon as they tried to hold him in a hug type position to take his temperature, he went into full Cujo mode. I had to leave to room as well as my son. It was scary and heartbreaking. But the worst part was when I returned him, the shelter didn’t believe me. I only wanted them to know the dog shouldn’t be in a home with small children.

I can understand not wanting a dog that is prone to attacking, especially with children around. I won't have a pit bull. Would make me too uneasy. Got a rescue dog awhile back that was about 5 yr old. Mixed terrier. He did not want to be touched and would do anything to stay away from people. Took a few years before he settled down. I despise people who abuse dogs. Dogs are one of the greatest gifts on earth, imvho.

perfect! all we ever had are ones next to be out down...best pets ever. Ive been saying this forever... I really think they know! they always get along with babies and other pets.. seem so grateful!
