Chapter 2: I would be considered poor, you know, a deplorable. I worked hard, I was a Production Manager -16 years and then Office Manager -10 years. My man had his own business, it never made much but we got by. It was an ok life. No really hard times, but not a lot of Joy in it. In 2016, I got hit by a kid driving a pick-up truck while I was walking across the street in front of my apartment. It was weird AF, I still don't know how it happened. It was dead quiet and there were no cars moving on the street, and SUDDENLY, a truck is coming at me from a parking lot. I got hit, thrown and knocked unconscious. (I found out later that I left my body and met Hades, we made a deal to save the Universe and he put me back. Time works differently when you are dead) I went to the hospital, they rushed me through tests, stapled my head wound shut and sent me home.
