The earth is flat and motionless. Our eyes and experience show it to us. Everything in the sky revolves around us. Liers and pseudo-scientists have blinded us for so long ; they pretend to be "experts" with special knowledge only they can access. By brainwashing us of something fundamental, it makes so easy every other kind of lesser indoctrination.
