🚨Georgia Man Sentenced To 40 Months In Prison For Multimillion-Dollar Business Email Compromise Scheme🚨
🔹Ifeanyi Eke, 34, pled guilty to one count of conspiracy to commit wire fraud. In addition to the 40 month prison term, three years of supervised release. Eke must forfeit $365,205, & pay restitution of $2,691,908.30.
🔹Eke had a supervisory role in the scheme and is responsible for approximately $2.7M in losses to 35 victims!
🔹Between 2016 & July 2018, Eke & co-conspirators, perpetrated a fraudulent BEC scheme in which they deceived victims,foreign & domestic, into wiring millions of dollars to bank accts controlled by the syndicate. The fraud was kept going by sending victims “spoofed” emails, which claimed to be from others whom the victims trusted & contained wiring instructions directing the victims to send funds to accts that were controlled by the defendants.
