Censorships exist to prevent one from challenging conceptions & existing institutions. Once a gvmt is committed to the principle of silencing voices of opposition, it has only 1 way to go, & that is down the path of increasingly repressive measures, until it becomes a source of terror to all its citizens & creates a country where everyone lives in fear. We're not afraid to entrust the American people w/ unpleasant facts, foreign ideas, aliens, & competitive values. For a nation that is afraid to let its people judge truth & falsehood in an open market is a nation that is afraid of its people.
