Social Security – Illegals Take Priority
I was recently speaking with a friend of mine, I’ll call Mary (not her real name), who resides in the state of New York. She was telling me that she had recently married, and had to make name changes to legal documents: her driver’s license, insurance card, and Social Security card. The Social Security Administration wanted Mary to send to them, via snail mail, the original Marriage License, not a copy, for verification. With good reason, she was not comfortable sending the original through the mail. Mary was advised to call her local Social Security office and request an “in person appointment”. She contacted the local Social Security office, and was told, U.S. citizens could not have an “in person appointment” and would have to do it by mail. Mary inquired as to their reason, and was told that “in person appointments” were being strictly reserved for undocumented immigrants, a.k.a. illegal aliens.
Wherefore, legal United States citizens
