First thing that comes to my mind is that the story came out two months after he was supposedly shot down. Maybe the story was intentionally released to keep those who murdered him sending comms about the incident... drawing out more details about who was involved. Idk. I know that sounds far fetched, but it's the only sense I can make of it. Strange article.
