The thing is, you don't have to be native born and of native born parents to be in any other political office except President and Vice President. So BO being a Senator, just like Kamala Harris, was not against the rules. But both BO and Harris were/are ineligible to be Pres/VP. Harris being ineligible because her parents were not citizens when she was born. She was an anchor baby.
