I have been texting my Dad every other hour who is in Texas without power for 24 hrs. We discussed pros and cons to driving to a friends to stay warm versus staying put, staying in touch with each turning decision as I have been updating him on the status of outages within his region. Tips to staying warm etc.,
Just a few minutes ago I decided to reach out after checking the outage tally, telling him they're decreasing by the minute and to hang in there.
Not ten minutes after my text, his electricity came back on.
He says I brought him luck.
I told him it was a blessing.

my friend is in Austin without power. Im so worried. glad to hear your dads power came on.
