The sam false narrative has been used in Australia.
The British govt. sold land to emigrees in OZ, then used the money to fund their passage via ship. My ancestors were in the last ship as part of a 5 year settlement plan to Adelaide with wife and 6 children. They left after Chirstmas from Portsmouth in 1839 on SS Morley, arriving in May 1840.
They were the people who built civilisation, albeit at the expense of natives at the time. It must have been a difficult adventure! #Pioneers
