It would really be nice to have a full night's sleep. That hasn't happened since last June. The cardioversion caused all this pain. Yes, it got me out of Afib, but it damaged the nerves in my neck and I have suffered severe pain since. I cannot lie down on my pillow for a full night. I can lie down for maybe a couple of hours, but the pain comes back full force when I do. I got up again this morning in so much pain I was nauseated. I maybe get 5 hours sleep if I'm lucky, and that is sitting up with my tv pillow and a roll pillow behind my neck.
I saw the NP at the pain clinic yesterday for my follow up visit. She told me this will take at least 6 weeks for improvement after the ablations. She wants me to wait another month before we proceed with procedures on my lower back.

In the meantime, my eye dr wants me to have laser surgery on both eyes because my IOP is staying above 20 and he wants it below 20. He said this will help the pressure stay low for up to 5 years, and some people don't have to use the drops for glaucoma anymore. And I can have the procedure done twice, so it could be good for up to 10 years. I had such a bad experience with my cataract surgeries I'm terrified to have anything else done on my eyes. I won't be going back to the same dr for laser. I'll never let him touch my eyes again.
Please continue to pray for me.
