Big Ag is trying to modify a Florida law to provide illicit (even if lawful) cover for their products and practices. This law was meant to protect farmers producing perishable foods, but in reality, the changes will expand the law to all categories of edibles and food practices.
What happens if you’re no longer allowed to say that sugar is harmful? Or that pesticides are harmful? Or warn about food prep methods that are harmful? The new Florida agriculture bill could silence health critics and restrict discussion about food and pesticide health risks, and even about Frankenfood creation in a lab.
