'Difficulty of distancing themselves' from Epstein
Both princesses are repeatedly mentioned in the latest dump of Epstein files.
Media reports of the alleged lunch in Miami have often referred to "the girls", suggesting they were younger than they were.
At the time of that visit Eugenie was 19 and Beatrice was 21.
"They weren't five-year-old girls when they were taken to see Epstein. They were grown ups," argues author Andrew Lownie, who wrote the book Entitled about Andrew. "There's a big campaign to say they are innocents caught up in the shellfire, but they're not, they're deeply involved."
An exchange between Epstein and his assistant seems to suggest he paid for the family's flights, totalling "for all tickets: $14,080.10".
On several occasions Epstein appears to ask Ferguson if her daughters can meet people, and on one appears to ask for them to show the redacted person Buckingham Palace.

One message is signed off by "Sarah" and mentions "The Duke". The sender appears to congratulate Epstein on the apparent birth of a child:
"Don't know if you are still on this bbm [BlackBerry Messenger] but heard from The Duke that you have had a baby boy," the first email says.
"Even though you never kept in touch, I still am here with love, friendship and congratualtions [sic] on your baby boy. Sarah xx."
A follow-up message is then sent to Epstein eight minutes later.
"You have disappeared," the email says. "I did not even know you were having a baby. It was sooooo crystal clear to me that you were only friends with me to get to Andrew. And that really hurt me deeeply. More than you will know."
