I do not know if Kings are the answer... its real easy to buy off an individual- we have seen how easy it is to buy off entire governments...

Perhaps.
Kings are lifetime positions, positions that are passed down to their kids... I do not think that is a good idea.
Heads of state, are better, when they rotate out, and it is not an inherited power.
I have often wondered if picking politicians would be better done like juries, by computer - at random...
You do 4 years at the commensurate salary, then you go back to being your every day self.
