โ€‹The video actually does count night hours. The mention of "12 hours in a day" is used to explain the ancient Sumerian base-12 counting system (counting knuckles on one hand), which is where our 12-hour clock comes from.
โ€‹Later in the video, the speaker explicitly breaks down the full day when calculating seconds:
โ€‹He calculates "12 hours of day time" multiplied by 60 minutes and 60 seconds.
โ€‹He then adds "12 hours of night" to reach the total of 86,400 seconds in a full 24-hour cycle.
โ€‹So, the "12 hours" refers to the measurement unit for the daylight portion (or one sweep of the clock), but the night hours are definitely counted as the other 12!๐Ÿซกโค๏ธ
