So, they changed the frequency.
They took the music and tuned it away from 432Hz (standardizing it to 440Hz, the frequency of dissonance and aggression).
They filled the airwaves with Static: Fear. War. Pornography. Division.
They calcified the Antenna (Fluoride, toxins) so you couldn't hear the original broadcast.
They built a Glass Empire over the natural world. A transparent barrier that let you see the stars but never reach them. They turned the Escape Room into a Maximum Security Prison.
