Our parents and grandparents ate bacon and eggs, real butter, real milk, ice cream, and homemade things like cakes and pies, bread etc. I know a one size fits all type of "medical care" is an abomination. I wonder too if certain ethnic groups might be genetically prone to higher levels of cholesterol, and need those higher levels. I have read that those blood levels were lowered to sell statins.🙄

I am not sure but, had 2 grandparents that lived into their 90's, never took meds, ate "unhealthy" foods like bacon, eggs, tons of butter, and almost ALWAYS homecooked/raised meals. I believe God gave us animals/plants/etc on this earth, that will feed/cure/heal any ailments we have! I feel, we more naturalized doctors.
