THE BUZZ ON ORIGINS
According to the biblical account, God created land dwelling insects, bees included, on the sixth day of creation, just three days after He made flowering plants. This timeline shows that bees were designed and ready to pollinate almost immediately after the plants they depend on appeared.
In contrast, evolutionary theory claims bees slowly evolved from simpler insects long after pollen producing plants were already established. Their complex social structure, communication, and specialized anatomy are said to have taken millions of years to develop.
Creationists were not surprised when scientists later discovered a remarkably well preserved bee trapped in amber, dated by evolutionists to be far older than the previously claimed “oldest” bee. This fossil looked strikingly similar to modern bees and was even identified as a worker bee, showing that an organized hive society already existed.

This discovery challenges evolutionary assumptions by showing bees appearing fully formed much earlier than expected, and likely long before this particular specimen lived. Even the evolutionary scientist who reported the find admitted the difficulty of explaining how bees and flowering plants could have evolved so closely together in time. For those who trust the biblical timeline, the evidence fits naturally. Bees and flowering plants appear together, created within days of each other, already equipped for their interdependent roles.
