The USDA has quietly approved Merck's new self-amplifying mRNA rabies vaccine for pets.

This isn't a traditional vaccine. The saRNA technology is designed to replicate inside your dog or cat's body, spreading to their organs and brain.

Key Concerns:
• No Long-Term Data: Safety studies lasted only 14 days and were conducted by Merck's own lab.
• Serious Reported Side Effects: Including seizures, paralysis, and aggression.
• Transparency Issues: The study was not peer-reviewed and 35 of 38 test pets were euthanized.

This is a rapidly developing field, with saRNA vaccines for canine flu and feline leukemia also in the pipeline.

The bottom line for pet owners: Ask your vet exactly what's in every shot. Demand full transparency.
