IMHO, there is no "flu." Fall and winter results in an increase of upper respiratory illness because of these factors:
☆Increase in sugar consumption from Halloween to Valentines
☆High sugar consumption makes the body acidic
☆Acidic bodies are more prone to illness
☆Large gatherings of people at parties, football games etc spreading illness
☆Less outdoor activity due to colder weather which reduces sunlight exposure
☆Higher stress over the obligations of the holiday season
☆Dehydration due to dry heat, less water consumption due to the busyness of the holidays
☆Less adequate sleep due to stress and obligations
