The “Alice’s Restaurant” story, from Arlo Guthrie’s song, is about the musician and his friend illegally dumping garbage on Thanksgiving 1965, leading to their arrest and conviction.

Ron Paul is a politician who knows what to say to give the illusion of working patriotically for we the plebes, while doing very little to change anything. And a celeb endorsement? Another sideshow, different celeb, Guthrie vs Taylor Swift. The antiwar stuff has always been fake. Wake up.

That's interesting. When I read the lyrics more recently, after learning some dark stuff, I had a different take on their possible meaning. The name Alice, near the railroad track, you can get "anything" at the restaurant, trash bags to be disposed of, possible criminal acts... I'm ruined for innocence now I guess. Plus, we know celebs don't go to war, and he's bragging about it. I don't know....
