A lot of pain women in particular don't know how to cook at all..
My sister in law ( love her) doesn't cook at all, everything they eat is microwave or take out.
She has absolutely no interest. Her biggest reason is the clean up.
Her husband cooks if he wants something. She doesn't clean up after he cooks.
I understand how she feels about it but just hate take out.
As it stands right now, I eat no take out, especially McDonald's, Burger King, Wendy's, none. I can't stomach it.

Absolutely! I used to refer to it as the "microwave generation". Suddenly you could make dinner in 3-5 minutes. Prepared foods, a convenient store on every other corner.
I watched the onset in the early 70's with the popularity of the radar-range(before microwaves). Suddenly our mother had one, and a freezer stock full of frozen meals. She only cooked on the weekends. Convenience only created laziness and sick people.
