The identity of 'the antichist' can't be determined without studying and understanding Daniel and Revelation together. They are sister prophetic books .. just the imagery alone of Revelation13:1-3 for instance, w/ it's heads, horns, crowns, lion, leopard, bear and beast are a *direct* reference back to the exact same animals in Daniel 7, and in the exact same order only reversed since Daniel was looking forward in time and John was looking backward and these beasts all represented an *historically* accurate progression of kingdoms from Babylon => Medo-Persia => Greece => Rome => Papal Rome which Daniel 7 makes perfectly clear. An historical time line that's also prefigured by Nebuchednezzer's metal man dream as interpreted by Daniel after God showed it him in a night vision recounted in Daniel 2.

Without allowing the Bible *itself* to define and identify ALL of it's *own* terms and images, you get off track in so many ways like this man does right off the bat w/ his misunderstanding the "sea" that the Rev13:1 beast rises from which is addressed in Rev17

"And he saith unto me, The waters which thou sawest, where the whore sitteth, are peoples, and multitudes, and nations, and tongues." Rev17:15
