My step-dad's family being from Wyoming and me living there from age 13, we actually knew and worked on Cheney's 1980 CONgressional campaign. I still have lots of paraphernalia from that time as well as the letters he wrote to me for Girls' State and an achievement at U of Wyoming.
Dick was nice enough but always a bit gruff. Dad played AL Baseball w/him as a teen & they were friendly but Dick CHANGED over the years.
Went from a decent conservative to a grasping, greedy satanist. Dad was in Casper Lodge No. 15, A.F. & A.M. w/Dick and they both helped induct Gov Ed Herschler at the time as well.
YES that is a Mason group. Not EVERY Mason made the 33rd degree & was asked to spit on the cross friends, but I am fairly sure once out of WY & at the DC lodge, they asked old Dick and he gladly spit on Christ to turn into what he became.
Just some info from someone who actually knew old Dick and his family before they went to the dark side.
