Tis true ... God has always only had one people. Those faithful few who trust *and* obey him.
When the leadership of *national* Israel finally rejected Him .. even going so far as to have him crucified they lost their covenanted 'most favored nation' status.
As Jesus said to the Pharisee, leaving the temple for the last time. "YOUR house is left to you desolate"
Whereas prior to that moment Jesus had referred to the temple as MY FATHER's house.
It was then that the *nation state* of Israel ceased spiritual legitimacy in God's eyes. His covenant w/ them broken *by them*.
There would no longer be 'Jew, Greek, rich, poor, bond, or free' but ONLY those who gathered under the saving protection of the sacrificial wings of JESUS' love and forgiveness.
