I've had followers coming out of the woodwork, and I block them all.
They have only just come on here in August. I don't follow anyone who hasn't been here for a while!

I have been blocking "new" followers that have links to businesses or get rich quick schemes.

They seem to come in waves over this past year. Very few genuine new accounts amongst them.
