Part 1:

When my mind finally settled, these were my thoughts and what I spoke to my adult children who are hurting because Charlie was wiped out so quickly:

The gates of heaven opened, and the roar of love and excitement as Charlie entered to meet Jesus face-to-face...we felt it here. The spiritual vibrations from heaven touched earth and we felt it. Like seeing a front door open on a dark night, all that golden light spilling out for the few moments it takes for someone to walk in and close the door. We've felt that golden light - straight from heaven. That's why we're still feeling so lost - because each one of us is not home yet. But Charlie is. He not only left us with truths to live by and ponder and share, but he also gave our hearts a strong yearning for something more - for ultimately being HOME where we belong.
