My only thought is, a massive ponzi scheme built by mafia masterminds pretending none of it is manipulated, and protected by con artists in D.C. that pretend to care whether the citizens are getting scammed. It's a lust for money that knows no limits, and the citizens are the prey.

People are getting scammed every day, and many are seniors. The D.C. mafia turned this country into the crime capital of the world, but hopefully law enforcement agencies are now working together like never before to catch all the scumbags.
