He wants the statue back up bc it is part of our history as a country and the way we progress is to understand our history and how we grow together as a country. If you tear it down and pretend it did not happen while simultaneously reimagining something else than you lose those lessons that many people sacrificed their lives for to overcome very painful times. We honor and remember those who were victims, those who were leaders, and those who taught us lessons we needed to learn. We have a big celebration planning committee underway to commemorate a milestone in our history as a country and that also includes the FMs who are part of our history. What part of this is so hard to understand?
