I sew a lot, if it were me I would zig zag the torn area, remove the stitching from above & below the seam, push the zig zagged fabric under the seam and re-sew the stitching that was originally taken out! Then it should not ravel out again.

I would turn those pants into an upcycled purse! That said, the invisible stitch is awesome for finishing pillows or doing certain upholstery repairs. Not all tailors are lost, but the ones who remain are like magicians 😘
