I still use a wired connection.
Safer than wi-fi which can be hacked.
The UK recently changed to digital, they sent a wifi phone with charging base but it's still in the box. Had to have a chunky box to connect by wifi/satellite if there was a power cut, land line used to be independent of electricity.
